Ah HA!

I knew I would be a lazy blogger.  I look at peoples blogs, and become all addicted, and then immediately self doubt creeps into play.
I mean, I can't blog as awesomely as all of these other ones out there. For realz, but hey. Rome wasn't built in a day, and other such cliche comments.

So today I brought the following...
- $7 - A piece of art that I intend to use to frame something for the baby sisters room
- $1 - A lovely wicker basket (my husband loves my habit of bringing home useless bits like this, seriously)
- $7 - A puffer vest for the big chap. Down filled and black, perfect for mucking around with the small chap at the park.

- $6 - A pair of canvas and leather sandals.  Yes, sandals, in winter.  It was -2 degrees in Wellington yesterday, so I figured, why not?

- $1 - A DaKine backpack for the small chap.  I can't bring myself to purchase him one of those over branded cartoon ones made by hands tinier than his no doubt.

This is a normal day of op-shopping for me, although I try to keep myself within $10, so I have failed miserably here.

PS, my new $8 prescription lenses from Clearly Contacts.  LOVE!!

There you go though. My fourth post!  Who ever would have thought!

Reasons I hate my camera

Because no matter how much I stand more still than I have ever stood before, I still end up with grainy, blurry, dark images that need to be sent through about 50 filters to look anything like reasonable.  And I am just not that awesome at Photoshop (ie/ total amateur.)

Ah well whatever. This mirror was from the Wellington tip shop, $8. It's not everyones cup of tea, but I love it.

Off to enjoy the howling gales of a Wellington storm.

The time to shop

Its a guilt thing, but I set aside a wee time slot every day to pop in to an op shop and peruse for a time. Not every day is a bargain found, and sometimes desperation calls for some random purchase that arrives home, only to find its way back into a clothing bin.

The main thing is that the magpie eyes get some exercise each day.

I thought it might be fun to document the daily purchase-drag home-amalgamate into the home somehow cycle.  I think I might try rope my also obsessed little sister into the fun, but she shares a dislike of photography/uploading with me. So time will tell how this exploit goes, but as we seem to have so much of it to spare, lets give it a go.

I'll upload today's purchases as soon as I can be bothered to get a decent image of them...

Hooray
